OPA is a short, resonant exclamation \u2013 a word-emotion. It has no single meaning or place of origin. In different languages \u200b\u200bacross Europe, it appears spontaneously: as a cry of joy, surprise, an invitation to have fun. Sometimes it means &#8220;hey&#8221; sometimes &#8220;bravo&#8221; and sometimes simply a good atmosphere here and now.
